Brandon Vaidyanathan, PhD, is a research fellow at the Archbridge Institute. He is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Sociology and director of the Institutional Flourishing Lab at The Catholic University of America. His research examines the cultural dimensions of religious, commercial, and scientific institutions, and has been widely published. His current research examines aesthetics and spirituality among scientists and how innovation occurs in the domains of religion and spirituality. He earned his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Notre Dame. Before that, he received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and HEC Montreal, respectively.
Dr. Vaidyanathan’s work has been funded by grants from the John Templeton Foundation, Templeton Religion Trust, and the Lilly Endowment. He is the founder of the media platform Beauty at Work, which includes a podcast and YouTube channel examining how beauty works and shapes the work we do.
